Cards, Cards, Cards
Ok so you have probably noticed I have not kept up with my goals of posting once a week. But wedding, party's and Christmas have kept me pretty busy and away from my scrap room. Sad I know.
However, I did achieve my goal of making my own Christmas cards this year (as well as a couple of wedding cards too)!.
Made a gate fold card for Alicia and Matt's wedding gift card. I absolutely love this Japanese design paper but I can't remember who makes it or where I got it from (was in my scrap box).
Bit addicted to the gate fold card at the moment. This one I made for Sarah and Jai Philp's wedding gift card. Used the Me to You bear picture as the bride loves these.
Gate fold card is so simple to make. Check it out on www.scraptime.ca episode 166 for how to instructions.
Finally my Christmas cards. I bought pre-made cards so just had to add the flair and flavour.
My snowman is made from felt pieces. I got the idea from the Notebooks magazine. Check out the article at www.homehints.com.au - How to make Christmas cards. I also used the same concept to make felt Christmas trees. Had lots of fun putting them all together, but I have decided that next year I will probably just buy cards. By the time I finished making all 50 cards, I didn't really have the energy or drive to actually write in them all to send! But hey you have to learn these things.
